Bushman featured in short film, 'The Capoeira Story'

In 2019, filmmaker Serene Khaalid features James in her short documentary, The Secret of Movement: The Capoeira Story. He speaks about the African roots of capoeira, shares some of the cultural and political history of capoeira as resistance and liberation art, and draws connections between the African Brazilian martial art form and contemporary African American culture. James also plays the berimbau, sings a traditional capoeira song, and plays capoeira with Bounce.
