CAPOEIRA FUNDAMENTALS DEMO CLASS
Join in this Capoeira FUNdamentals class for a fun introduction to the history and movements of capoeira. Learn the essential movements for the game + how to practice your capoeira with or without a partner.
THE SECRET OF MOVEMENT: THE CAPOEIRA STORY
In 2019, filmmaker Serene Khaalid features James in her short documentary, The Secret of Movement: The Capoeira Story. He speaks about the African roots of capoeira, shares some of the cultural and political history of capoeira as resistance and liberation art, and draws connections between the African Brazilian martial art form and contemporary African American culture. James also plays the berimbau, sings a traditional capoeira song, and plays capoeira with Bloom.

Foundations of Movement: James teaches the first movement of capoeira with Bloom and Wonder as his super assistants.
