SET A: Fancy Ginga
Building on our practice of ginga, the primary movement of all movements in capoeira, we’re going to spice up our play with some variations that add more fluidity to our game, help us practice defensive positions, and highlight strategies to outwit the person who is playing opposite us. We’re going to incorporate jumps, sweeps, and fakes—all of this increases our cardiovascular workout as well. After a few rounds of spirited ginga practice with the boys, we tune in and focus on applying our fancy ginga movements in a one-on-one game.
